As-salamu `alaykum wa rahmatullah

Every time you allow yourself to sin, you are in fact allowing yourself to be humiliated, and you will become lowly to yourself before becoming lowly to the people. Stop. Promise to start honouring yourself (by doing good deeds), and no more humiliation, because our sins are piercing this already-wounded Ummah of ours.

There are holes in the human heart which the world, despite all its glamour, just cannot fill. But a single moment of remembering God not only fills, but completely cements these holes with true happiness and contentment. Bliss is indeed beyond this earth.

Give some opportunities a chance. You never know what it may lead you to. Sometimes the goal you’ve been trying to achieve for so long is hidden just behind an opportunity or something that you’ve been refusing for so long. Give everything your best shot and you’ll see some of those doors open to new worlds.

It is recorded that whenever the Prophet (sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam) was upset, saddened or bothered by an issue, the first thing he would do is rush to his place of prayer. Nowadays when we’re troubled, we rush here, there, and everywhere, but we don’t think of entering the sanctuary of Salah. We don’t think to first humble our troubled mind down to the floor in sujud to its Lord. A simple 2-unit prayer is a great source of help for the believer; it’s an oasis and a retreat away from the troubles of the Dunya. So before rushing to people, or rushing to every corner, you might find your solution lies in a beautiful retreat to your place of prayer.
