Ayah 82 of Surah al-Kahf is an interesting one. It is the 3rd action of Khidr which Musa questioned. In the first two acts (of burning the ship and killing the boy), Khidr attributes these to himself:

“So I intended to cause defect in it (the ship)” (verse 79)… and

“So we intended that their Lord should substitute for them (the case of the boy).” (verse 81)

But as for the 3rd act of building the wall to cover the treasure of the 2 orphan boys, Khidr attributes it to Allah alone:

“So your Lord intended that they reach maturity and extract their treasure, as a mercy from your Lord. And I did it not of my own accord.” (verse 82)

The lesson: Allah `azza wa jall will look after your children. He will take care of things for you even if you are not there. Sometimes in life you push hard, chase after security, struggle to make ends meet, carry the world on your shoulders, but you will only go so far until there comes a point when only Allah can help you. And He will. So have patience.
