“So they do not prostrate to Allah, Who brings forth what is hidden within the heavens and the earth, and Knows what you conceal and what you reveal” [al-Naml: 25]
Something beautiful to ponder over (continuation from the last post):
The word الْخَبْءَ is an Arabic word which means ‘something that is hidden’. The mufassirin such as Mujahid, have said that the word ‘khaba’’ in this verse refers to the ‘ghayth’ – the withheld rain that comes after a long time. However, ‘ghayth’ comes from the Arabic word which means ‘alleviation’ or ‘to rescue.’ This is almost telling us that alleviation and the lifting of hardships in this world are just like the ghayth – i.e. the anticipated rain which lies hidden behind clouds, we don’t know when it is coming, but Allah knows it and He has already sent it forth: “… Allah, Who brings forth the khaba’…” And when the rain finally reaches the afflicted ones, it arrives in abundance. “Indeed, with hardship there is (double) ease.” [al-Sharh: 5-6]
So, a reminder for us all to be patient over the difficulties of life and remember that just as Allah `azza wa jall has decreed our portions of hardship, He has also decreed relief and goodness for us.
Asalaam,
A very Powerful message in these troubled Times. Jazak Allah for Posting.
Assalaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuhu..
Jazakillaahu khayran ukhty fillaah..
Assalamalaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatohu
jazak Allah khair for this reminder…
just to share a thought….Rasulillah SAW said that sabr is at the first instant of the hardship…and if you look at the sabr of Ayub AS, he never asked for relief from his afflictions.
and this was due to his having total pleasure with his Rabb’s decree over him, in all cases. to me it means that he never saw his afflictions as afflictions but Allah’s Wise and knowledgeable decree over him. i have a feeling those who are blessed with “sabr jameel” dont label their afflictions as such. they dont bog themselves down with such negativity and so they fly thru their trials/afflictions/tribulations with divine grace.
And so Allah SWT becomes their Hadi and Wakeel and Waliyy and Mawla and Naseer; so much that they are amazed by how easily they have overcome all obstacles to an ease that is soul warming, and what was an “affliction” has turned into abundant and increasing rewards and blessings even in the duniyah.
just think about it: Allah SWT Who is supreme in mercy all merciful, can never “afflict” any of His creation. what we see as afflictions, are actually Allah SWT way of purifying and nurturing and polishing us to befit our eventual place in Jannah inshAllah.
has not Jannah been reserved for those who are totally pure?
