“Don’t worship Allah so He may give you. Rather, worship Him so He may be pleased. For when He is pleased, He will astonish you with His Gifts.”
By the dawn
And the ten nights
And the even and the odd
O you tranquil soul!
Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing
[al-Fajr: 1-3; 27-28]
Loftiness is attained in accordance to one’s struggles,
And whoever seeks nobility, remains vigilant by night.
Whoever wishes to achieve without due effort,
Will waste their life seeking what’s impossible.
You search for glory and yet you sleep at night,
It’s only the seeker of pearls who dives deep into the sea.
– Imam al-Shafi’i, al-Diwan

Sisters’ Hifdh Classes in West London
So I’m finally starting to get this off the ground:
Qur’anic hifdh circle for sisters in West London
An opportunity for sisters to memorise the Qur’an under female supervision
This course will include class completion of hifdh coursebooks designed to help inspire students, structure their hifdh, break mental barriers, look at some of the Qur’anic Sciences, explore the lives of huffadh, and methods of hifdh. There will be group recital, and extraction of fawa’id (Qur’anic gems) from selected chapters, all in addition to one-to-one hifdh sessions.
Requirements:
- Previous study and knowledge of tajweed
- Ability to read and recite (tartil) Qur’an
- Excellent punctuality and attendance
Please note: this is not a class for beginners. Only advanced or intermediate students, as the aim is to help sisters become hafidhat and knowledgeable enough in the Qur’an with the aim for them to become teachers/supervisors in their locality and across the city.
If interested, please email fajr.wordpress@gmail.com in order to obtain an application form and details on the class.
Make du’a that this is a success insha’Allah!
