O you tranquil soul!
Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing

Loftiness is attained in accordance to one’s struggles,
And whoever seeks nobility, remains vigilant by night.
Whoever wishes to achieve without due effort,
Will waste their life seeking what’s impossible.
You search for glory and yet you sleep at night,
It’s only the seeker of pearls who dives deep into the sea.

‘I is for Ithar’ – the new eBook
‘I is for Ithar’ is a collection of fictional short stories and poems at times told in a fable-like manner. Ithar is an Arabic word which means to prefer something over oneself for the greater good – an act of selflessness. It comes from the root word ‘athar’ which also means to leave a footprint or trace.
It’s my hope that the tales and stories written here inspire us to cultivate the selflessness that lives within us, and we leave a mark in this world for time to come.
