Insha’Allah, I will be starting a 4-month course in Harrow studying Arabic but I want to make it a little different. I’ve come across a lot of sisters who’ve studied Arabic and maybe even completed books but in the end, they’ve struggled to really understand the language and can barely remember much of it. I thus wanted to run a beginner’s Arabic course to help avoid this common pitfall.
This is a course which I’ve tailored to include comprehension and also spoken Arabic. First level will aim to cover the whole of the Bayna Yadayk Book 1 as a base text, but with supplements from external sources such as Classical Arabic texts, Qur’anic sciences, Arabic poetry, Linguistical Tafsir, and more. It will include a slow introduction of grammar and morphology so that more focus is given on actually understanding the Arabic and being able to absorb and speak it insha’Allah.

Course fee: £40 a month
Entry requirements: Students should be able to read and write basic Arabic.

Do the students only pay for 3 and a half months? So £140 as they’re not getting a full 4 months.

It’s calculated according to number of weeks (16 weeks), so the 1 week which is missed in September is made up for in November (which has 5 weeks). Also textbooks and materials are provided and thus additionally contribute towards the overall tuition fee.
