Arabic & Qur’anic Courses
Tayyibun Institute will shortly begin their new 3-month courses which I encourage anyone interested to sign up for inshaa’Allaah.
There is a choice of Arabic Levels 1 & 2, Tajweed studies (levels 1 & 2), Hifdh al-Qur’aan, Kitaab al-Tawheed as well as the introductory First steps to Qur’aan. Inshaa’Allaah I’ll be teaching sisters on the Level 1 again and supervising the hifdh.
Registration will take place from 20th ‘Oct – 28th ‘Oct.
Classes begin from the week commencing 29th ‘Oct.

Just a little heads up though fajr, those who praise you openly, are usually the fakers. I’ve had plenty of experience with those. Im not saying the above individual is a faker but exhibits symptoms of it.

A man was mentioned in the presence of the prophet (SAW) and another person praised him highly. The prophet (SAW) said “Woe unto you! You have broken your brother’s neck” he repeated this several times.
And then he said “if one of you wishes to praise someone, he should say: “I think that person to be such and such’ if he truly thinks so , and Allah will take note of what he says . No one should attest the purity of anyone to Allah”
Abu Ma’mar told how a man started to praise one of the governors, so al miqdad began to throw dust in the man’s face and said: “Allah’s messenger (SAW) commanded us to throw dust in the faces of those who praise (others) too highly”
Ata bin Abi rabah reported that one man was praising another in the presence of Abdullah ibn Umar who started to throw dust in his face saying the messenger of Allah (SAW) had commanded:” When you see anyone shower excessive praise then throw dust in their faces”
We should avoid to much open praise.. Or exaggerated praise..
Such praise may harm a person’s nyah..
If somebody’s good, you encourage them, make dua for them. In their absence… How exactly is exaggerated praise ever going to help them?

“So ascribe not purity to yourselves. He knows best him who fears Allah and keep his duty to Him.” [al-Najm]
None should be overpraised because a lot of the time only Allaah knows how deserving a person is of such a praise. But I can vouch for the sister (bint Husayn) that she is far from being fake and I regard her as a good-hearted individual and friend (wa la nuzakki `ala Allaahi ahadaa).

I was really reflecting/projecting my own personal experiences. Like brother Allahu Alam mentioned.

Al Hamdulillaah, this Ramadhaan was certainly an eye opener and Allaah subhaanahu wa ta ‘ala made it possible for me to do more than I was able last year. (I am not praising myself here, rather, the praise is directed to Al Wali Al Hameed).
Sometimes gratitude for a persons efforts can be mistaken for praise. If a person makes some effort to teach people and help people remember Allaah then it is only appropriate to show some recognition of their efforts without exceeding the limits.
And sometimes those who work for the sake of Allaah need a bit of motivation as well, to continue doing what they do even if its a few words to let them know that their words are being read and are benefitting people.
